Tiscali offers "Clesh" Video Editing Service
Tiscali, the internet and broadband company has teamed up with Forbidden Technologies to launch Clesh
(Clip Load Edit Share), a new online editing tool which enables users to upload digital video and mobile
phone clips, and edit and share them with their family and friends across the globe via the internet.
Available at launch only at www.tiscali.co.uk, Clesh is a consumer friendly scaled down version of
Forbidden’s professional FORscene software, used by TV and film post production experts.
Clesh is the first fully interactive consumer web-based editing package and offers an
easy and convenient way to edit your baby’s first birthday, wedding video, or phone clips and post them on
the internet for sharing via a secure log-in.
Richard Ayers, Portal Director and Editor of www.tiscali.co.uk says:
"The Clesh software is a great opportunity for our tech savvy users
to play around with their home videos and create something they can share with their mates.
We are delighted to be the first to offer the package to our users on its launch."
Stephen Streater, CEO of Forbidden Technologies says:
"The functionality and ease of use of the Clesh package makes it ideal
for home users who want to edit and share their video from camcorders, digital cameras, and even mobile phones
using the internet."
To celebrate the launch of Clesh on the Tiscali portal, Tiscali is offering users the chance to win
a dream weekend away in its ‘Where would you rather be?’ Competition. Entrants are invited to edit their
home videos online and submit their best effort. Forbidden Technologies’ distribution and technology partner
Simply Stream TV has also provided a library of video clips for entrants to integrate and practice with.
The competition will run from January 2006 alongside the launch of CLESH on www.tiscali.co.uk.
Nicholas Rogovsky, CEO of Simply Stream TV adds,
"As Forbidden’s chosen technology and distribution partner for Clesh,
we are extremely pleased that this award winning editing technology is being made available to consumers
in partnership with one of the UK’s best known internet and broadband companies."
