Uploading AVI files into Clesh
Use this section to upload video files you already have on your computer.
If you have DV content on a tape or if you want to capture directly from a digital video camera, use the
Video Capture section.
Select the File Capture tab, as shown below.
- Filename - Click the Browse button to select the file you wish to upload.
- Video Name - The name that you type here will appear as the video's name in your Clesh account.
- Start Capture - this starts the video upload into Clesh.
The content being uploaded is shown in the preview pane. Don't worry if this is playing back slower than real time.
The progress bars indicate what stage you are at.
Start Capture becomes Stop Capture when you press it.
- Stop Capture - this terminates the capture. Upload will continue until it has finished.
Capture will stop automatically when the end of the video file has been reached.
Notes:
- Capture Progress - the figure to the right of the progress bar gives the current time code.
- Upload Progress - the figure to the right of the progress bar gives the amount of data
uploaded as a percentage.
- The capturing will stop when either the end of the video has been reached,
or Stop Capture is selected.
- CleshLoad captures in real time but the upload speed is dependent on your Internet connection speed.
A standard ADSL broadband connection has 256Kbps upload speed - videos might take 8 times real time to upload.
- The video will appear in your Clesh account as it uploads, so you can start editing
before it has finished uploading.
- You can only upload one file at once.
- You cannot switch to the video capture tab whilst a file upload is in progress.
When the upload has finished, a window will pop up as below. Click OK.
