Enabling Java on Internet Explorer for Windows

Start Internet Explorer.

From the Tools menu, select Internet Options.

Go to the Advanced tab, tick the Java (Sun) option and also enable the three Microsoft VM options, as shown below:

Go to the Security tab, select Internet and click on the Custom Level button, as shown below. (This will open the Security Settings window.)

Select High safety under Java permissions, as shown below:

Click OK to close the Security Settings window.

Click OK to close the Internet Options window.

Close and restart Internet Explorer to allow these changes to take effect.
